Binance Turns Up in India’s $500 Million-Plus Crypto Probe as a Route for Foreign Payouts
India's Enforcement Directorate is probing more than ₹5,000 crore (about $527 million) in crypto transfers, finding foreign payouts routed through Binance and Bybit. The agency searched four premises on Oct. 27 and says the transfers crossed borders without authorization, though it makes no allegation against either exchange. The probe adds regulatory pressure on offshore exchange flows in India.
