Mercado Bitcoin hack leaves services suspended as $11M is blocked
Brazilian exchange Mercado Bitcoin suspended deposits, withdrawals and all services after a hack on November 2, 2026. The exchange says $11 million has been blocked, while Chainalysis estimates a $49 million drain across 17 blockchains. Reimbursement funding and a deadline have not been identified, which raises risk for affected users.
